Kaanapali, Maui: The Coconut Chronicles

Ka’anapali is one of Maui’s premiere resort destinations. Spectacular beaches, great golf, proximity to Lahaina town all set in a beautiful backdrop with the West Maui Mountains to the east and the Pacific and the neighbor isles looming to the west. It is little wonder that this is a very popular locale for individuals visiting the island. It is those same qualities that make the area a popular playground and home for island residents.

Ka’anapali might be most famous for its beach Ka’anapali Beach also known as Dig me beach is one of the most popular beaches on the island. It is beautiful stretch of white sand with clear waters great for swimming and snorkeling. There is a concrete walkway that stretches along this expanse of beach that is great for sunset strolls. Ka’anapali is separated from Kahekili beach to the North by Black Rock. Black rock is a large lava rock that is renowned as a great snorkeling spot. Kahekili is often known as north beach or airport beach. It has a number of the same attractions as Ka’anapali beach with fewer crowds.

Ka’anapali Shopping and Dining

Coconut Palms and Norfolk Pines line the fairways and the Sugar Cane Train steaming by the course add to the scenery speaking to the area's natural beauty and the history of Old Lahaina. The Tournament North Course is a more challenging course. Ranging from the Shoreline to the foothills of the West Maui Mountains, the course will challenge your putting skills and demands that you choose your clubs wisely. Of course the scenery is spectacular with views of the Pacific, Neighbor Isles of Lanai and Molokai and the spectacular west flank of the West Maui Mountains.
