Aloha! Welcome to the Fifteenth edition of "The Coconut Chronicles" presented by Billy and Pete Jalbert, Realtors for Jim Sanders Realty in Paia, Maui. For our fifteenth edition we have articles on relocation and country living in Maui. Having covered most of the communities in Maui, we are mixing things up a bit taking on some new subjects. It has been too long since the last Chronicles. We have been busy with clients so our publication has been a little less frequent than we would like. If you were to play a word association game with your average American, the word Maui would often be followed by Beaches. While our beaches are worthy of their accolades, many fall in love with Maui’s countryside. Whether it is the tropical countryside of Hana and Haiku or the rolling hillsides along the flanks of Haleakala or the West Maui mountains, there are homes and land available for those seeking a quiet rural lifestyle. The following listings represent some of the best that Maui has to offer.

There is a new subdivision on the island that offers the option of drinking what you grow. While Kona coffee has long been recognized as some of the best in the world, Maui coffee is growing in reputation.
