There are two festivals being celebrated at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center this weekend. Tonight it is a celebration of Japanese Culture with the annual Taiko Drumming Festival in the Castle Theater. The event will feature Japanese story telling and drumming from a couple of different Taiko Groups. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7.50 for kids. The show starts at 7:00 with food and beverages available in the courtyard starting at 5:30.
Tomorrow is a great day to grab the family and some beach chairs and sprawl out on the lawn af the MACC’s A&B Amphitheater for the annual Ki Ho’Alu Festival or slack key guitar festival. There is an all star line up of slack key performers scheduled. In addition to the events on the stage, there are also Hawaiian Crafts and Food. The event runs from 2:00 to 7:00 PM and admission is free! I hope you get to check out some of these great events on another beautiful weekend in Maui!
