This area takes it name from the beautiful 600 foot plus hill that drops off steeply into the Pacific on the east side of the West Maui Mountains. There is a sleepy little village next to the hill, but it is extremely rare for property to go for sale in this community. From the real estate perspective, Kahakuloa is the area of homes to the South of Kahakuloa located on the eastern flank of the West Maui Mountains.
