Honua’ula Vote to be Held Next Week

Topics

After months of deliberation and hours of public testimony, the land use committee of the Maui County Council has decided that it is time to vote on the proposed Honua’ula subdivision in South Maui. Debate continued this week with the land use committee meeting on three separate conditions. They continued to hammer at the 30 conditions necessary for the project’s approval. It does not appear that they will have come to agreement on all conditions when the committee votes on Tuesday. However, council members and land use committee chair Mike Molina feel that they have reached the saturation point for testimony and review. We will provide coverage of the vote on the Maui Real Estate Blog as soon as information becomes available.

Check out today’s Maui News for more information on the upcoming vote and discussion of this week’s meetings on Honua’ula.
