Maui Onion Festival This Weekend

This weekend Whalers Village in Ka’anapali will be hosting the 18th annual Maui Onion Festival. The Maui Kula Onion is a delectable treat that has gained notoriety around the world. This two day event celebrates the onion through a variety of activities and tasty treats. Some of Maui’s best chefs will be gathering at the Onion Festival for cooking demonstrations that will show the versatility of the onion. Other activities include raw onion eating contests, arts and crafts, onion recipe contests, a produce market, hula dancing and all of the onion rings you could imagine.
