Kula Nani Estates is located in Upper Kula. The agriculturally zoned subdivision was originally developed in the early 1980s. The well established neighborhood consists of 38 lots of two acres or more. Utilities are underground, the water system is private, and the views can be spectacular.
This is one of, if not the highest elevation subdivisions on Maui. At elevations between 3,600 and 4,100 feet, nights can be cool, with winter temperatures downright chilly. This is one of the few areas of the island where almost all homes have some sort of heating. During the summer months, the cooler temperatures are a particularly pleasant respite from the higher temperatures at sea level.
Recent sales in the neighborhood have ranged from $800,000 to $1,500,000. Value varies based on the quality of views, square footage, quality of improvements, and whether the home has an ohana.
