The Old Sandhills neighborhood is built on a dune feature located to the East of Downtown Wailuku. Homes in the neighborhood typically offer big views of the North Shore coastline and Haleakala. The neighborhood includes a large number of classic Kama’aina style homes built between the 1920s and 1960s. Many owners restored these homes to their previous glory. There are also a fair number of handyman specials that tend to come to market in the neighborhood. As a result, price point for the neighborhood varies pretty widely.
One of Sandhills biggest draws is location. You are just minutes from downtown Wailuku. Maui Memorial Hospital, UH Maui College, The Maui Arts and Cultural Center and a lot of other Central Maui amenities are just a short drive away.
