History

Haiku's Agricultural Roots

From the late 19th century up until the start of the 21st century, Haiku was a focal point for plantation agriculture on the island. Former pineapple canneries have been recommissioned as the communities commercial hubs. They are now home to restaurants, grocery stores, gyms, yoga studios, and other local businesses.
